We're excited to release v1.6.4 of Waterly.  It contains some customer-facing enhancements, as well as some bug fixes and overall system performance improvements.

Updates

Where am I?

We work really hard to keep Waterly simple, and one thing that we focus on is making it easy to navigate.  In this release, we're bringing back a small visual indicator that makes it a little easier to see what the current active site or area of the application you are in.

Additionally, you might notice that on really long lists of sites, if you select a site near the bottom, Waterly will do a better job of scrolling that site into view, rather than it being cut off from the bottom of the screen.

Where was I?

Another way we like to keep Waterly simple is by reducing the number of clicks needed to do basic tasks like data entry.  We have added a new feature that remembers the last site you used in Waterly, and returns you right back to the same place when you come back later.  That is, unless you have directly bookmarked a specific site, in which case, we didn't mess with that.

All the Small Things

There are a number of other small tweaks and improvements around the application, including:

  • Fixing a problem that made it difficult for new users to complete their initial signup without going through a password reset
  • Fixing an issue that affected the sorting of processes, components and metrics when editing your site
  • Automatically clearing out forms that may have previously shown old information.  (For example, when creating new processes)
  • Improving the overall responsiveness of the application

Thank you

We will use this space to update notes on the software if needed.

As always, we are grateful for all of our water and wastewater superheroes that we get to work with every day.  We hope you enjoy the new features, but as always, we welcome your suggestions, comments, and complaints.  The future of Waterly is driven by your input, so please keep the feedback coming by support ticket, phone call, email, or carrier pigeon.
