Today's release doesn't introduce any new user-facing features, but is focused primarily around bug fixes and making the overall Waterly experience as smooth as possible.

Updates

Am I Seeing Double?

For those advanced users out there who edit metric calculations (and for our own internal team as well!), a situation could occur where the "source" metrics for a calculation could appear twice in the metric editor.  In this release, we've fixed that.

Cleanup on Aisle 12

When you create a calculated metric in Waterly, a link is created between the "inputs" to the calculation and its result.  In some cases, those links were not cleaned up properly if you later changed your mind, which could lead to problems in other areas of the application.  We've made some changes to ensure that does not happen again in the future.

Testing 1, 2, 3...

Here at Waterly HQ, we know how important reliability is to our users.  While Waterly is seemingly simple on the outside (and we've worked hard to make that appear to be the case!), there is quite a bit of complexity in how that comes together.  One tactic we're taking to maintain our quality is to continue to build on our automated testing suite.

This kind of testing comes in the form of a tool that acts like a robot -- automatically (and quickly!) clicking through various nooks and crannies in the app.  This allows us to test large parts of the application and helps to make sure we don't unintentionally cause an unexpected problem.  This release rolls out that core functionality that our team will be using, and we'll continue to build on this in the future.

Thank you

We will use this space to update notes on the software if needed.

As always, we are grateful for all of our water and wastewater superheroes that we get to work with every day.  We hope you enjoy the new features, but as always, we welcome your suggestions, comments, and complaints.  The future of Waterly is driven by your input, so please keep the feedback coming by support ticket, phone call, email, or carrier pigeon.
