Today's release introduces several new features and speeds up areas of the app for large sites.

Updates

System Summary on System Dashboard

The System Dashboard is a great place to plot Historic data. We're happy to be adding a Site Summary where at a glance you can see the status of each site. Our first add to this is a count of Metrics that have Out of Range warnings at a glance from the Dashboard.  You'll also see the Site Type (which Supervisors can set in Edit Site mode).

Here is an example of a Metric that is Out of Range. If you're getting false positives or the ranges need to be adjust, Supervisors can always update the Range Min and Range Max in Edit Mode.

Downstream Calculated Metrics

For Supervisors, when reviewing Calculated Metrics, it can be nice to see the Calculations that depend on a Metric. Here in this example we can see there are 3 Metrics that use Static Air Pressure Reading in their calculation.

Faster Larger Sites

We care deeply about performance in Waterly. As we add new features we like to pause and take a moment to ensure that using Waterly is fast and delightful. Depending on the size of your System, a small improvement can make a huge difference, these improvements help all sites regardless of size.

We've focused on several several areas of the app in the past week:

  • Loading the Waterly Web App
  • Typing in Data Entry
  • Moving Processes, Components, and Metrics when in Site Edit mode
  • Archiving

Perusing performance improvements in software is a forever journey (we'll be running at it for a while) that we're committed to at Waterly! As always, if you see something, open a support ticket and we'll take a look.

Did you know weeks typically start on Sunday in the US?

Waterly knew this too, but the date picker didn't. Now the we're all on the same page, the date picker defaults to show Sunday as the fist day of the week.
