Updates

We've been busy as usual with a number of features in today's deploy as well as a few bugfixes to smooth out some rough spots.

Moving the Furniture

For you supervisors out there, we've continued our efforts to simplify how you interact with Waterly.  Here are a few changes you might notice:

  • Metric Archive / Transfer Buttons: We've removed some of the visual "noise" that most people don't use very often, and moved the archive and metric transfer buttons to the inside of the metric editor:
  • Improved Sizing of Calculated Metric Expression Editor: If you ever have edited a Calculated Metric expression before (there's dozens of us!), then you may have noticed that the input field frustratingly didn't always fill the available space properly. Now, that is fixed:

Making Units (of Measure) Visible Again

When building reports, it's sometimes difficult to remember the unit assigned to a particular metric. To make that easier, we now show the units next to their related fields:

SCADA Tag VisibilityOne request we've heard more than a few times is that it's difficult for operators with SCADA-connected systems to know what SCADA tags their data is coming from.  We've added a "WaterClick Partner Connections" section to allow just that:

P.S. You can learn more about WaterClick and other possible connections on our website!

Bugfixes

We've released quite a few fixes around the app this time, some of the more notable include:

  • Out of range warnings:  There were some situations in which they would not immediately display.  We've made some changes now so that they will be much more reliable, and faster as well!
  • Creating new sites:  We had an unfortunate step backwards that caused supervisors to be unable to create new sites on their own.  We've corrected that issue.
  • Multi-Level Time-Series Calculations:  That's a mouthful. Basically, in certain cases, a calculated metric that depended on another calculated metric in the same site, could sometimes not update later in the day.  (It wasn't just tired!)  We've resolved that issue.

Thank You

We will use this space to update notes on the software if needed.

As always, we are grateful for all of our water and wastewater superheroes that we get to work with every day.  We hope you enjoy the new features, but as always, we welcome your suggestions, comments, and complaints.  The future of Waterly is driven by your input, so please keep the feedback coming by support ticket, phone call, email, or carrier pigeon.
